Born and raised in Iowa, my family moved to California in the 60’s. In the 70’s I married and raised 3 children in the Sacramento and Los Angeles areas. As the children grew older, I began my working career as a Commercial Manager for a district office of Farmer’s Insurance in Carson, CA. I enjoyed training the agents and most especially enjoyed rating and underwriting business exposures. After many years of that, the desert called to me and I moved to Palm Springs in 1990.

I began working for a Better Homes & Gardens real estate franchise in Palm Desert, eventually becoming the office manager; we had 6 offices and 150 agents. During my 15 years there, I became licensed as well. Debbie Joynt managed our La Quinta office and was in dire need of my organizational skills.

That was the beginning, Debbie Joynt and I dated off and on for 12 years and finally were married in April 2003. I passed my Brokers test in May 2005 and we formed our own corporation, Joynt Ventures Realty, Inc. We are members of the Palm Desert Board of Realtors as well as the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. We have also managed commercial properties in Cathedral City.

We have expanded and now are covering real estate in Iowa as well as California. I moved back to Iowa Aug 2008 to care for my elderly mother. I have my brokers license in Iowa as well as California.
